Kathryn is a Professional Makeup Artist based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Kathryn offers all makeup services from bridal to SFX and festival makeup, specialising in glamour, photographic, special events and creative makeup with 12+ years experience. She also shares her knowledge and expertise by offering 1 on 1 makeup lessons and group training/classes.

Kathryn has always had a natural artistic ability and creative talent from a very young age. She loved to draw and art was her favourite subject in school. 

As she came into her early teens, she became quickly fascinated by the art of makeup and began to translate her art in a different form, using skin as the canvas and makeup as the preferred medium. She had found her passion.

 

At the age of 17, Kathryn completed a certificate course in 2009 at the Academy of Makeup in Brisbane. This gave her the industry knowledge to work with professional hygiene practices and techniques, although she would consider her current skills as self taught as she has evolved through practice, play and a lot of hands on experience. She keeps up to date with the advancement of new methods, trends and the revolution of products over the years since her formal training (before social media and beauty blenders!).

Kathryn applies her meticulous eye for detail and passion into every makeup look. She loves making her clients feel like their most beautiful and confident selves and finds that to be the most rewarding aspect.
